Sciame Mobile Residence, web residency on Instagram

The work is focused around the main theme "uninhabited/uncustom" of the Sciame Mobile Residence project.
The artwork is composed by a collection of some pictures taken in different places over the last 4 years. The images were printed in black and white and altered using solvents. The stain, made by them, erases and swallows the image and at the same time covered - like an organic or inorganic cloud - the different shapes, giving back a surreal vision. Solvents, besides to referring to the harmful human action on the environment, become the symbol of all the invisible forces - physical, chemical, organic, anthropic - that change everything, including ourselves and our perception of the world.
The title is the quote from a part of the story Cities & Eyes 3 contained within the novel Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino.
